The International Thin shell association is a group of brilliant DIY enthusiasts  working with Ferrocement, Insulated concrete walls, shelters, Kitchen sinks, counterTops, Sculpture, Sprayed concrete and generally a lot of interesting innovative stuff. They started getting together in 2004 - once a year for an Informal convention to exchange and present ideas and projects. Having completed our Gurudwara dome in 2004 September with a lot of interaction online with this wonderful community, Paul - from Ferrocement Educational  Network and Nolan - the mortar sprayer and the builder of his magnificient Castle invited me to the next convention in Oregon, USA  to present my first FC Dome project The 3-day convention - held outside an old church in beautiful countryside, It turned out to be quite unconventional and an amazing experience. Here are some highlights:
Most of the sessions were held outdoors in grassy lawns or under tree shade. The gentleman on the right demonstrates a technique to create the look of artificial limestone. by working different tools on sprayed plaster
